Contestant's Name: Charmaine Entered on 7/10/2003 10:03:19 PM On Christmas Eve of 2002, I came home for the holiday break from school. On the bed in my room was a Christmas gift or so I thought. Upon opening the gift, I found a lavish dress and a note that said "Be ready for 5:00 pm". After getting dress, my doorbell rang for approximately 5:00 pm. We left home and went for a horse and carriage ride through the French Quarters in New Orleans, which is beautifully romantic. After the ride, we went to the Audubon Riverside and talked for hours as we watched moonlight on the Mississippi river. Then we went to dinner at Commander's Palace, where he surprisingly made reservations. At dessert time, the hostess came out with a dozen of roses and a dessert tray. She lifted the lid and there was a beautiful ring on a plate decorated with poinsettas. Of course I said, "YES...WHEN".
