Contestant's Name: BETH Entered on 9/25/2003 6:02:33 PM Matthew and I had been dating for 6 months (our hairdresser hooked us up and I went into the Salon to "check him out"). We had a PERFECT relationship and decided to move in together. I wasn't really CRAZY about this idea, religiously, so he knew the "saving money" part of the deal was encouraging me. The day we were moving in, with several of our friends to help, he popped the question IN FRONT OF EVERYONE! We were taking a beer and pizza break from the move-in, and he got out of his seat to thank our friends for helping us. I went to stand beside him, thinking, he never told me he was going to give this appreciation speech...He also kneeled and opened the box, asking me to marry him. I am still in "could've keeled over" shock. From then on, it was hard to clean, unload trucks and unpack boxes that day. We turned our moving day into a full-fledged engagement party! Why not? Our guests were already there! I am so honored that I did not have to go through with the guilt of moving in without a life-long commitment. It could not have happened on a better day or time!
