| The day before Christmas Eve 2005 I asked my girlfriend (now fiance) if she would like to spend the day in New York City for Christmans Eve (our first Christmas Eve together) and then have dinner with her family that night in Long Island. She agreed and in the morning we took a train ride into New York City. Her step brother works for the St. Regence hotel so we walked to the hotel from the train station and hopped in a town car to take us to Central Park. We walked around for a bit watching the street dancers when I asked her if she wanted go to Rockefeller Center and take pictures by the huge Christmas tree. Once we arrived we squeezed through the crowd of people and stood right in front of the tree. After taking some pictures I got down on one knee and pulled the engagement ring out of my pocket and to her suprise proposed in front of about a thousand people who were looking at the tree. She was in shock and all the people who witnessed the proposal started to clap and cheer for us. After making our way back through the crowd we got back in the town car and went back to the St. Regence hotel were I had white stretch limo waiting to take us back to Long Island. Another suprise came when I handed her a build-a-bear dressed in a tuxedo. When she squeezes the bear my voice in a recording asks her to marry me. This way she can hear me propose over and over. We drank some wine and her family was waiting for us to arrive to celebrate the wonderful Christmas Eve.
